Iz Divyn didn't always have a desire to be a solo singer / songwriter. He, his older brother and step brother started a rap group known as Assasination. Sadly, his older brother went to jail. With will power and a drive for success he and his step - brother later started a different group calling themselves 2 Deep. Unfortunately, his step brother was shipped to Florida to live with his mother leaving Iz to chase is dream solo. Through a mutual friend Iz later met Doug E. fresh and Donovan Thomas (Lil' Vicious' Manager) who in-turn introduced him to life as an entertainer giving him the opportunity to study with one of the founding fathers of hip hop on Lil' Vicious' debut album "Destination Brooklyn". This allowed the bith of the solo artist who we all would know as "Iz Divyn".

He has taken residence in many differen states. Each has played a significant role in creating his style of music. His musical influences include, but are not limited to: Micheal Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Portishead, Linkin Park, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, KRS One, Nortorious B.I.G, and X Clan to name a few. With the influence of such timeless musicians, he has created something different that he like to call "Hip-Rock" a combination of R&B, Hip Hop, Pop nad Rock music.
He acknowledges his mother as always being emotionally supportive of him. Even through rasing seven children she is always someone he can turn to in times of need. His son, Tsire, has been an inspiration and a driving force for his success.

He now resides in Macon/Atlanta, Georgia under Top 2 Bottom Entertainment, a merketing and entertainment resource company which he co-founded with his partner L.J Malone and continues to inspire.
